Rafael Montijo, Army Veteran, 73, of Norridge, formerly of Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood and Ciales, Puerto Rico, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2024.
Adored husband of Haydee for 50 wonderful years. Beloved father of Rey, Melinda and Johnnie. Cherished grandfather of his "great gifts," Johnnie Jr., Deija, Brooklynn, Feilin, Malachi, Amadea, Hailey, Alexander and Andres. Proud dog dad to Nena and Sakura.
Rafael was a postman for 37 years and will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of the people around him as well as his ability to bowl a perfect game.
A memorial service in honor of Rafael will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at Cooney Funeral Home from 2-8p (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068)
Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options in Schiller Park, Illinois.
