Ralph Kylander

Ralph Kylander, 73, of McHenry, formerly of Wheaton, passed away on August 20, 2024.

Ralph was born on May 23, 1951 to Eleanor (Niedert) and Charles Kylander in Geneva, IL. He was the youngest of 3 children; dear brother Charles (Martha) Kylander and loving sister Marla (Charles) Hershberger. 

Later in life, Ralph met Susan. On April 30, 1983, the two wed and began their wonderful life together and celebrated 41 years together this year. They continued on to have 2 children; Joshua (Beth) and Jacob (Samantha). His children were his pride and joy. 

His children later blessed him with 4 grandsons; Riley, Mason, Barrett and Holden. Who he spent a considerable amount of time with during his last few years. 

Ralph spent the rest of his time sharing his witty one-liners with his family/friends and cheering on his favorite sports teams; Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, and Chicago Cubs.

Ralph was predeceased by Eleanor Kylander, Charles Kylander, and Marla (the late Charles) Hershberger. He is survived by his loving wife; Susan Kylander, his sons; Joshua (Beth) and Jacob (Samantha), his grandsons; Riley, Mason, Barrett and Holden, brother; Charles (Martha) Kylander, sister-in-laws/brother-in-law Karen (William) Del Vecchio, David (Mary) Torkelson, and Kristine (Bob) Kemp, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are encouraged to join the Kylander family on October 26th, 2024 at The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry, IL for a Celebration of Life Visitation starting at 9am, followed by Catholic Mass Ceremony at 10am. Come celebrate the marvelous life of Ralph Kylander.
