Randall Paul Kalkis

Randall Paul Kalkis, age 67, stepped into the arms of Jesus on August 8, 2026. Cherished husband of Anna (nee Degrassi) for 32 years. Devoted father of Scott (Ashley) Kalkis and Xiling Kalkis. Proud Papa to Cierra, Mckenzie and Abagail Kalkis. Beloved son of the late Roger and Caroline Kalkis. Son-in-law of Daria and the late Livino Degrassi. Loving brother of the late Theran (Jodi) Kalkis and Kathryn (James) Zboncak. Brother-in-law of Maria (late Philip) Roth and Aldo (Donna) Degrassi. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Randy had a beautiful life full of family, friends, adventure, hard work and serving. Along with his wife Annie, he very much enjoyed nature and bird watching. After a successful and exciting career of 30 years at the CBOE he moved on to expand his knowledge and love of flowers and gardening as a hard worker for Alsip Home & Nursery for the last 9 years.

Randy embraced a hobby collecting John Deere toy tractors. He was owner of an actual John Deere tractor, a gift from his wife Annie.

He was also an avid baseball fan, having a keen ability to retain and share all kinds of statistics through the years. He held his beloved St. Louis Cardinals close to his heart.

Being a father to Scott and Xiling has been his greatest joy. He would use a special family endearment: Wǒ Ài Nǐ (Chinese for “I Love You”).

Adding to Randy and Annie’s family, Scott and Ashley blessed them with 3 beautiful granddaughters. He was a devoted son and son-in-law and his role as cherished Uncle has enriched the lives of many. Randy professed and lived his strong faith in the saving Grace of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a long time member of Parkview Christian Church of Orland Park where he served and was a member of a cherished small group. During his last few weeks as he interacted with many medical staff, no one walked away not knowing how he loved His Lord and wanted the same for others.

Randy leaves a beautiful legacy of strong faith, treasuring his family and friends and always had kindness for others!

Celebration of Life service for Randy will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 with visitation at 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Pkwy, Orland Park IL.
