Raul Santiago

Raul Santiago, 83, from Puerto Rico, passed away in Berwyn Illinois, after a long illness on January 7, 2020. Raul was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico on August 13, 1936; Raul spent many years raising his children with the late Magaly Carrasquillo . Beloved father of Jomayra Colon, George Castro, the late Sammy Castro, Joel Castro, and David Castro and had a son name late Raul Santiago Jr. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, Raul loved all him Siblings he was the last chapter of the Santiago’s his Generation. He was known for always having a cup of coffee in his hand, a smile on his face, and loved watching wrestling on the TV. He also enjoyed watching baseball, reading the newspaper, listening to music, and going for walks to keep healthy. Raul was a hard worker his entire life and a great provider to his family. As he got older, he enjoyed being a homebody and spending all of the time that he could with his children and grand-children. He loved them all deeply and would do anything for them. Raul lived with his son in law Jose Colon Jr his daughter Jomayra and his grand children Jovan, Jalanie ,And Melanie who helped take care of him. A memorial services is scheduled for January 11, 2020 at Mt Olive Church from 2:30-6 p.m. located at 3850 N. Trip, Chicago, Il 60641.
