Rebecca Leight Rice

Rebecca Leigh Rice (née Wright), 38, passed away unexpectedly October 14, 2024 in Harvey, Illinois. 

Rebecca grew up in Paris, Tennessee, where she graduated from Henry County High School. She loved her family and had a fighting spirit that never wavered. Rebecca enjoyed tending to her garden, where she grew many vegetables. She was a longtime worker in food service and never met a stranger who didn't become a friend.

  Rebecca leaves behind her beloved husband of 20 years Rhunia; loving children Destiny Wright, Shamya Rice, Elijuah Rice and Deon Rice; cherished sisters Jennifer Wright, Laura (Eric) Carson, Roxanne and brothers Chaz Wright and Dakota Wright; best friends Tyella Jones and Alicia Tharpe; and a host of nieces and nephews. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents Mark and Gail Wright. She will be deeply missed
