Richard Alesse

Richard Alesse passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 82. A lifelong Chicago resident, Richard lived a life defined by hard work, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Throughout his career, he worked as a mechanic and semi-truck driver before becoming a dedicated business owner. He successfully operated a trucking company, auto body shop, neighborhood bar, and carwash, leaving a lasting mark on his community through both his work and relationships.

Outside of his professional life, Richard was an avid fisherman who found peace and joy on the water.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Donna; his children, Colin (Jennifer) Alesse and Samantha (John) Harter; and his three grandsons, Kevin, Ryan, and Tyler.
