Richard James Belmonte passed away the morning of October 27, 2025 at Lutheran General Hospital at the age of 75. Born on April 25, 1950 in Chicago IL, Rick graduated from Weber High School in 1968. Not too long after high school he started working at Fel-Pro Mfg Inc. He was proud to work with his Fel-Pro family for over 4 decades. His time there is something he talked about all the time and cherished. He had a great love of sports playing baseball in his youth, softball and bowling as a younger man, and also golf with his wife and friends. He was a Chicago team sports fan who watched the the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Bears almost every game (until they were winning a game and he didn't want to jinx it).
Beloved husband to Nancy Belmonte for almost 55 years, loving father of Jennifer (Paul) Naylor, cherished brother to Andrea (Mike) Moore, treasured uncle to Valerie (Scott), Vicky (Rob), Kenny (Deyglimarly), Jessika (Stephen), Gregory (Jessica), and Rick T., as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Thomas, sisters-in-law Mary and Jeanne, and niece Donna. He now finds peace with our heavenly father and those he was preceded in death by, including: mom Dorothy Quinn, sister Linda Bouche, dad Thomas Belmonte, Patrick Quinn, Terrance Caston, Matthew Tatela, Earl and Mary-Ellen Lee, Timothy Lee, and Cindy Lee as well as many others we fondly remember.
There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
As an avid animal lover he cherished all creatures big and small. A donation in his name to your local animal shelter or wildlife/nature center would be a beautiful way to honor him.
