Richard "Rich" Reece

Richard "Rich" Reece, age 69, of Hampshire and formerly of Bensenville, Wood Dale, Illinois and Glasgow, Kentucky, at rest on Friday, September 18, 2020. Beloved partner of Cathy Herrick for thirteen years. Dear nephew of Patsy (the late Roy), Shirley (the late Harvey) and Max (Deb). Fond uncle to several nieces and nephews. Survived by his beloved "pet" Flatfoot. Preceded in death by parents Herb and Peggy, sister Mariann and aunt Carol (Marshall) Bailey. Richard was a self-taught mold maker and Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He loved classic music and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Cubs. Many thanks to Lisa, the home heath provider who became a great friend, and Artis Memory Care of Bartlett, for all of their exceptional care and support. For the past two years, Richard's role as Santa brought joy and smiles to Artis staff, residents and visitors. A celebration of his life will be determined at a later date and time. Richard will be laid to rest alongside his family at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery in Glasgow, Kentucky. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
