Richard Strauss

Richard William Strauss, age 90, of Lombard, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026.

Richard proudly served in the United States Army and worked as a mechanical engineer at Bachi Co. He loved NASCAR, car shows and was known as the kind of man who could fix anything.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoDean Strauss.

Richard is survived by his son, Scott Strauss (Karleen); daughter, Bonnie Strauss-Fabor (Marshall); and grandchildren, Jake and Ange.

Whether he was working with his hands, searching for a great garage sale find, or enjoying a race on Sunday, Richard lived life with curiosity and determination. His steady presence and generous heart will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
