Robert (Bob) Alpert passed away on April 25, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. He was born on October 6, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. Throughout his life, Bob had a passion for history, culture and the advancement of human rights of all people. In addition he was a kind, caring and supportive friend, father and grandfather. May his spirit continue to inspire positive change, social justice and a loving world.
Robert (Bob) will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his two daughters; Ellen Rivera (Phil Rivera), Karen Parisian (Glen Parisian) and four grandchildren; Elise Parisian (Suzannah Parisian), Nicole Parisian, Natalee Bloss and Ben Bloss who will hold close his generous and passionate spirit. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Elias and Sarah Lillian Alpert and brother Alfred Alpert.
Aftercare Arrangements have been entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois. His ashes will be spread in three prominent locations (NYC, Puerto Rico and Detroit, MI) where he lived, worked and carried on his life work. Any potential donations can be made to the ACLU or The Southern Poverty Law Center.
