Robert Grays Sr.

Robert Grays,Sr. was born on June 29, 1961 to LG Grays and Laura (Ramsey) Grays. He was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. Robert graduated from Bowen High School in 1978. He then went on to attend Prairie State University and major in Business Management. Robert worked as a manager at Rent-A-Center and Burger King. From there, he attended the Sheriff’s academy for Cook County in 1991. His greatest accomplishment, besides his two children, was his 25 year service and duty to the Cook County Sheriff department. He retired from the Cook County Sheriff’s department in 2017. He enjoyed hanging out on his deck and playing music for his amazing neighbors. Robert was called home on May 29, 2020. His father LG, mother, Laura, sister Darlene and brother Archie all preceded him in death. Robert Grays, Sr. leaves behind a daughter Marchay Grays, a son, his namesake, Robert Grays, Jr., a long-time partner Tammy Green, a younger brother Leonard Grays and loving neighbors to cherish his memory. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
