Robert "Butch" Recto

In loving memory of Robert "Butch" Recto, aged 61, of Park Ridge, IL, formerly of Orlando, FL, Plymouth, MI, and Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines, who unexpectedly departed from this life on March 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Despite the suddenness of his passing, Butch leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Diane who spent 16 wonderful years together, married in 2016 and devoted father of Tawni Recto, the late Ashleigh Recto, and Angelo Recto. He also embraced his role as a loving stepfather to Cayette Capilitan, Bernadette Capilitan, Bernard Capilitan, and Angela Capilitan.  Dear Brother of Monette (Rick) Bennington, John (Cathy) Recto and Jasper (Rachel) Recto.  Cherished son of Claro (the late Sylvia).  Loving Grandfather to Gianni, fond uncle of Jacquelene, Andrew, Brandon, Emerson and Avery, great uncle to Jae and friend to many.

Butch had a zest for life and found joy in his passions for golf and fishing. His move to Florida was fueled by his love for the sunshine and the ocean. Although church wasn't his usual practice, his unwavering faith in God was evident in his everyday life. Known for his infectious smile, Butch was the life of the party, always radiating positivity and humor. He cherished his children deeply and was known for his playful nature, always ready with a joke to brighten the room. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
