Roberto Jorge Castillo

Roberto Jorge Castillo, 89, of Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, passed away on August 2, 2026. He was born on August 8, 1936, in Acámbaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, to the late Jesús Castillo and María Rodríguez.

Mr. Castillo was the beloved husband of the late María De La Luz Rocha Covarrubias, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Jeanette Castillo, Robert Jorge Castillo, Laura Nellie (Ruben) Gonzalez, and Alexander Giovanni Castillo; his grandchildren, Esteban Gonzalez, Mischa Olivia Gonzalez, and Kyle Castillo; and his siblings, Teresa (Camilo) Parrales and Carlos (Antonia) Castillo.

Roberto was employed for many years with Siemens Gamasonic and later with the City of Chicago. He had an interest in bioelectric magnetism.
