Ronald Bias

Ronald Bias, 72, of Chicago and formerly of Champaign, Illinois, passed away February 16, 2022.

Beloved husband of Debra D. Smith-Bias. Loving father of Ronald Charles Bias Jr., Robin Smith and Lisa Smith. Dear grandfather of Sha'Tara Carpenter, Amari Williams, Jakeem Nelson, Madison Tillman, Nyla Tillman, Taraji Tillman, Jayden Nelson and Ja'Mir Nelson. Treasured brother of Joyce Bias Campbell and special siblings Rufus and Pete. Preceded in death by parents Tony and Ruth Bias, granddaughter Brooklynn Donaldson and siblings Barbara Bias, Lorraine Bias and Robert Bias.

Longtime custodial care providor for a downtown Chicago fitness center. Lover of cherry pie, watching Westerns and listening to music, especially the Blues. He was an avid pool and ping pong player. Ronald was a creative soul who found solace in painting and the landscaping. Spending time with his family and friends is what brought him the greatest joy.
