Ronald Kevin Colbert

Ronald Colbert, 64, of Oak Lawn, Chicago, and Oxnard, California, passed away on April 7, 2024. Ronald was born in Chicago to the late Richard Mitchell and Tennie Martin. He was the beloved twin brother to Ricky.  He also was the much adored brother of Valencia Colbert, Essie (Ricky) Martin, Dewain, Iota (Nicole), Patricia and Lorain.  He is preceeded in death by his brother Dale. He was also the loving father to Latoya Robinson, Reggie Robinson, Edward (Candice) Hayes, and grandfather to Ellie.

Ronald was the high school sweetheart of Michelle, but unfortunately lost touch after moving to Oxnard California.  A few years ago, through Facebook, the pair found each other again.  Two years ago, after a lifetime of love, Ronald finally made Michelle Hayes his bride.

Ronald worked for 33 years as a chef in the school system in Oxnard, California, before returning to Chicago. He was also very devout member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He lived this daily through small and large actions he took to help make his community a better place. He took care of his  nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces who he adored. He was a good friend, and will be remembered lovingly for all the ways he helped everyone he met and will be greatly missed.
