Sharon Joy Otto

Sharon Joy Otto (née Shifflett) was born on May 18, 1953, in Leavenworth, Kansas. She peacefully passed away on September 14, 2023, in Streamwood, Illinois, surrounded by her loved ones. Sharon's life was a testament to strength, love, and resilience.

Sharon battled breast cancer with unwavering courage and determination. Throughout her journey as a Breast Cancer Warrior, she inspired everyone around her with her unwavering spirit. Her optimism and positivity were truly remarkable, serving as a guiding light for those facing similar challenges.

Above all else, Sharon cherished her role as a loving mom. She poured an immeasurable amount of love and devotion into raising her children: Julie, Stacy, Pat and David. She embraced the joys and responsibilities of motherhood with grace and tenderness. Sharon's love for her children knew no bounds; she always put their happiness and wellbeing above everything else.

As a doting grandmother to Lorenzo, Angel, Bella, Rodney, Billy, Michael, Mondreea, Montrell and four great-grandchildren Sofia and Ezkiel, Brylie and Isiah. Sharon found immense joy in spending time with them. She relished every moment creating precious memories with her beloved grandchildren. Her nurturing personality provided a comforting presence to these young souls.

Sharon's marriage to her adoring husband Billy brought much fulfillment and companionship to both their lives. Their bond stood as an example of unwavering commitment through both good times and challenging moments. Sharon held deep affection for her husband until the very end.

Outside of family life, Sharon touched the hearts of many friends who became an extended part of her family. Her genuine kindness knew no bounds; always offering a helping hand or words of comfort when needed most.
