Spankie Echols, 69, of Chicago’s South Side, formerly of Sledge, Mississippi, entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2025.

Beloved brother of Genease Wooten and cherished son of the late Andrew and Daisy Mae Echols.

Spankie was a gentle soul with a big heart who brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. He loved his Western films and enjoyed spending his days shopping and enjoying life’s simple moments. His kind spirit, sense of humor, and loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
