Stephen James Cunningham

Stephen (Steve) James Cunningham Sr., 68, of Oswego IL. formerly of Chicago, passed away after a courageous battle surrounded by his family on July 15th 2023. Beloved husband of Kimberly for 6 years. Loving father of Stephen Jr(Janna), Megan(Dennis) Kranc, Emily(fiance Joseph Spadafino) and Ryan. Adored step father of James, Heather and Carl. Cherished "Gumpa/Papa" of Morgan, Cody, Jack, Riley, Brady, Mckinley, Jocelyn, Keegan, Frankie, Colin, Lila, Silas, Mila, Cain, baby boy Spadafino and baby Gordon. Dear brother of Joanne, Kevin, Brian, Mark, and the late Sean. Cherished son of Breda Deady and the late Stephen Cunningham. Former spouse of Susann Cunningham loving mother of their four children. Fond uncle and friend to many.

Steve was a free spirit who had a great gift to connect with people through conversation and humor. He was funny, adventurous, quick witted and known to stir a pot or two. He was deeply passionate about music and loved to play the guitar. The most important thing to Steve was his family and making memories. He was so grateful for his wife, children and grandchildren. One of his greatest gifts was his ability to make each of them feel special in a unique way.

A celebration of his life will be determined at a later date/time.
