Steve Pociask

Steve Pociask, 65, peacefully passed away January 5, 2023 after a bravely fought battle with a blood disorder and leukemia.  He was a resident of Sycamore, Illinois for over 40 years and formerly of Dolton and Harvey, Illinois.

 

Steve was a certified electrician by trade and ran his own business, Steve's Electric, for many years. He also dabbled in odd jobs of all kinds. Steve was an avid fisherman and could be seen in his boat fishing at the local fishing holes whenever the weather and his health permitted. He loved going on fishing trips with his dad, brother and friends to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and Leech Lake, Minnesota. Steve had quite the green thumb and enjoyed cooking and sharing the fruits of his large garden. He enjoyed camping and vacations with the love of his life, Kathy. Steve was a real Blues fan, especially Buddy Guy. Steve had a heart of gold and was dearly loved by his large extended family and friends. 

 

He is survived by his beloved companion of 20 years, Kathy Brubeck; devoted sister Diane (Verne) Pociask Rentner; loving brother Jim (Michelle) Pociask; and dear nieces and nephews Christine, Derek, Grant, Dakota (Sarah) and Cade.
