Theodore Ringas

Theodore Constantine Ringas, 86, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Batavia, IL. Formerly of Wheaton, Il, Chicago, Il,  St. Paul, MN, Annapolis, MD, Athens Greece, Marmaris Turkey, and Denmark.

Ted was born February 11,1937 in Gary, Indiana to Aleck Ringas and Nancy Anne Kekatos. He attended Indiana University. Ted proudly served in the US Army.

He is survived by former wife Ann Stafford, children Jim(Tammie) Ringas, Laura(Dave) Knutson, Karen Masus, and Kristin(Chris) Pagent, grandfather of Aris, Britta, Colin, Datin, Josh, Luke, Alexandra, Costa, and Jacob, great-grandfather of Quinnley and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, siblings Jim, Dollie, Jeanette, and George, his first wife Sandy Sievertson, sons David and Alex, and daughter-in-law Sharon.

Theodore was the former owner of Ringas Painting and Remodeling, advertising executive of Weber, Cohn, and Riley, a former DJ, and many other occupations.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of life will be held on July 29, 2023.
