Timothy "Pops" Drabant

Timothy Drabant, 66, of Leyden Township formerly of Des Plaines, after a long battle with cancer, transitioned October 10, 2021. Timothy lived by the motto: "Never lose your sense of humor!" His sense of humor that he shared with his family still lives on in his beloved wife of 37 years, Deborah and his two daughters; Julia and Valerie with her partner Elder Ocampo. Timothy is the cherished grandfather a.k.a. "Crappa" / "Bobby" to his granddaughter Ivy. He was a dear brother to Gary; fond uncle to Jennifer, Matthew, Joseph, and Katherine. Timothy loved his community and served it with passion. He was a Fire Commissioner of Leyden Township, a retired detective aide in Bensenville, supervisor for the Cook County Criminal Court system and Northwestern University Police Community Service Officer.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Salvation Army, where he extended his service as an avid volunteer.

A celebration of his life will incorporate his passion for jazz music and will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at a place yet to be announced.
