Vasu Desai

Vasudev Desai, an esteemed engineer and devoted family man, passed away peacefully at his home on September 17, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Nadiad, Gujarat, India on September 10, 1933, Vasu’s life was marked by his dedication to his career, his adventurous spirit, and his unwavering love for his family.

Vasu is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Aruna Desai, and his three cherished children, Rupa, Avani, and Pankil. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather, leaving behind six grandchildren: Braham, Ruchi, Tejas, Shriya, Aria, and Satchin, who will remember him as a source of boundless and absolute love. He will forever be remembered as the greatest storyteller and adventurer. His wit, courage, and limitless curiosity will live on in every one of his family members.

Vasu was preceded in death by his parents, Chimanbhai Desai and Jayaben Patel. He leaves behind his younger siblings Naresh, Bipin, Snehlata, Anju, and Shalish, who will each carry forward pieces of his spirit — his humor, boundless generosity, and his gift for loving without limits. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish the joy and strength he brought into their lives. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
