Virginia S. Bunuan

Virginia S. Bunuan, 88, of Oak Park, Illinois, formerly West Roxbury and Marshfield, Massachusetts passed away on November 16, 2023. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Pablo S. Bunuan. Beloved mother of Jocelyn (Paul) O'Keefe, Joyce (Jon) Merz and Joanne (Jonathan) Biag. Devoted grandmother of Jack and Will Merz, Allyn, Dean and Dylan Biag and Kiley O'Keefe.

Virginia along with her husband, Pablo immigrated from the Philippines in 1969. They raised their three daughters in Boston, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, Virginia opened her home to young families seeking at home daycare. All her daycare children were like her own family and were able to experience her love through her home cooking.

She cared deeply for her family and friends and expressed her love through good food whether it was her homecooked meals or her favorite dining establishments. Virginia enjoyed the fall seasons in New England, shopping at Filene’s Basement and watching her grandchildren grow.

There will be a celebration of life for Virginia to be scheduled in Boston in the Spring of 2024. Details to follow.
