Morton Grove

Virginia Eileen Wickstrom, a devout Christian raised in the Lutheran faith, passed away peacefully and fearlessly, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family and faith. She was born on June 5, 1946 in Portland, Oregon, to Lee Wickstrom and Beata (Georg) Wickstrom and made her transition from this life on March 18, 2026.

Virginia’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her decisions, relationships, and the care and grace she gave to those around her. She was the loving mother of Windy Bogan (née Perrin), a proud grandmother to Zoe Bogan, Ava Bogan, and Ian Bogan, and cherished her son-in-law, Brad Bogan.

Throughout her life, Virginia was guided by the strong moral compass of her faith and lived in the strength, compassion, and values that her beliefs instilled. She leaves behind a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire through the love and devotion she showed to her family, friends and Christ.

She was formerly married to Jack Perrin, with whom she shared her beloved daughter, Windy. Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Ferris, and two of her siblings, Tom Wickstrom and Carolyn Wasik (née Wickstrom). She is survived by her daughter, Windy (Brad), grandchildren, Zoe, Ava, and Ian, sister, Leslie Hess (née Wickstrom), and step-daughter, Dian Preston (née Perrin), along with many treasured friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private service will be held to honor Virginia’s life and legacy.

Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options, Schiller Park, IL 60176
