Weston Stogsdill

Weston “Wes” grew up in the small suburbs of Wonder Lake and Johnsburg, IL but ran off to Chicago as
soon as he could. Aside from spending a few years in Colorado, Chicago was his home.

Since Wes was a little boy, there was this special spark about him that everyone could feel. Throughout
his life he radiated pure love, non-judgment and gentle acceptance; he just wanted everyone to feel
loved. So many benefited from the selfless support he gave without ever expecting anything in return.
He lived life on his own terms, making the best out of each moment, regardless of how rough it was.

Wes was self-taught in everything Information Technology and never skipped a chance at playing with a
new electronic gadget… and quickly taking it apart. He spent his 20’s as a Tech Specialist, while growing
his rehab portfolio doing home-repairs on the side. His attention to detail and passion for bringing a
project from A-Z, resulted in him contracting rehab projects all over Chicago.

Weston’s greatest joy was being a father to his dog, Zig. They were always on an adventure together;
roller blading, biking, camping, boating, and Zig never missed an opportunity to supervise his dad on the
job sites.

Weston adored his mother and little sister whom he kept close to him. He was an incredibly good friend
to so many, always making sure everyone around him was comfortable, safe, and having a good time.

On Friday, August 18 th , 2023 Weston C. Stogsdill passed away. He is survived by his son, Zigbee, his
mother, Marie Huscher, and his little sister, Jackie Stogsdill. He was preceded in death by his Father,
Charles Stogsdill.

There is so much more to say about such a special soul and we will do that as we celebrate Weston’s life
together. For now, let him turn your tears and pain into laughter and joyous memories of him; he
