William 'Bill" M. Flasch, 85, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022.
Bill had a successful landscaping business for years. More notably, he was an avid Cubs fan. He knew the stats on all the players. Including those on the opposing teams. He was remarkably adept at predicting what the next play would be like. Once he and a friend had a plan to meet the players at the end of the games. They would wait for the park to be nearly empty. Then they would move to another area of the park and wait to be urged to leave again. Once they lucked out and met Earnie Banks and had quite a long conversation with him. At one point, Earny said that Bill should marry that girl (his friend). But, Bill was quite independent and preferred to live by himself. He was a content, life-long bachelor.
He is survived by his loving nephews Gregorgy, Norman and Joe, beloved niece Bonnie Gibson and a host of friends.
Inurnment at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
