William Pittman

William Carl “Penn” Pittman, 64, was born January 12,1956 in St. Louis, MO to the late Amos and Palmer Pittman. He is survived by two sisters - Addie Shields of Memphis, TN and Palmer Pittman of Atlanta, GA and two brothers - Oscar Pittman and Shepard (Yolander) Pittman of St. Louis, MO; beloved companion, Wanda Gainey and a host of nieces and nephews. William graduated from Beaumont High School in 1976 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1978 where he served for six years. During his time in the Air Force he received the Longevity Service Ribbon, Outstanding Unit Award, and Good Conduct Award. He also became a Medical Service Specialist. William was employed with EMCO Chemical Distributors and lived in North Chicago, Illinois at the time of his passing. William will be remembered for being a caring and compassionate brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His random phone calls and secret adventures with nieces and nephews will be missed.
