Mr. William “Bill” John Rich passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023 in the care of JourneyCare Hospice in Chicago, IL at the age of 66. He was born March 22, 1957 to the late Leonard and late Virginia Rich.

Bill was the loving husband of Patricia (nee Witt). He was an amazing dad to Joseph, Ronald, Rebecca, and Stephanie (Justin) Jacobson. He was the proud papa to Gianna and Kayce.

He is survived in death by his brothers, Gregory (Elizabeth) Rich & Jeffrey (Mira) Rich, brother-in-law Lenny Witt, and nieces Kimberly & Riana Rich. As well as good friends Kevin & Maribeth White and Linda Marra. Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Rich.

Bill married the love of his life, Patricia, on September 13, 1980. They lived in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood of Chicago where they raised their four children. Bill took great pride in his children, always coaching numerous sports teams, especially Clear Ridge Baseball & Softball. Bill had a long career as the “meat man,” working different positions throughout his life.

Bill had a real love for life, whether is was coaching his kids, drinking a Busch Light, or just spending time with his family & friends. He always cared about everyone around him and made sure they always had a good time. Bill will be missed dearly by all his family & friends.

There will be a celebration of life for Bill after the holidays. A date will be announced at a future time.
