William R. Vollriede, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on October 4, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. He unexpectedly passed away at home on February 17, 2025.
William was a proud Vietnam veteran, having served his country with honor. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as a repairman with Tri-r Vending Canteen, where he was known for his dedication and skill.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, William was a longtime enthusiast of both hunting and fishing. These hobbies provided him with joy and peace, often shared with family and friends.
William is survived by his sons, Brian Vollriede and William A. Vollriede, as well as his cherished grandson, Domenico, sister, Nadeen (the late James) Sahr and his nieces Heather (Tom) Taxon, Kathryn (Thomas) Prete and nephew Thomas (Lacy) Sahr. He is preceded in death by his parents William P. Vollriede and Mildred Vollriede and his sister Karen (Leon) Pallasch.
William's unexpected departure has left a void in the lives of many, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who loved him.
