Willie James Henry

 

In loving memory of Willie Henry

 

On February 23, 2022, at the age of 76, God called him to come home. Loving father of Olivia Henry and Anthony Henry and former husband of Kathryn Henry for 25 years. Willie is preceded in passing by his parents Raymond Benson and Delilah Henry, and aunt Isabel Henry who was very much a mother to him as well. 

 

Willie's kind heart, smile, charm, humor, and faith were central to who he was as a person. He made at least one friend wherever he went and was always the life of any gathering. Lover of sports, Harley Davidsons, cars, music (especially Jazz and Gospel - Mahalia Jackson specifically), and the person you could always count on to play a game of chess, checkers or dominoes. A dedicated and hard worker in whatever he put his mind to (from welding/construction to real estate). Willie also proudly served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War.
