Wyenett, known as "Nettie", grew up in a Baptist Church, where faith became a big part of her life. She had a nurturing spirit and a talent for cooking, which led her to open Nettie's Kitchen. This popular soul food restaurant remained on Division and Cicero for many years. Nettie loved to fish and enjoyed casinos, especially Las Vegas where she traveled on many occasions. She is remembered for her beautiful, disarming smile, and her love of cigarettes and Pepsi.
