Yvonne Gallagher

Yvonne Gallagher, a proud member of the United States Navy and a beloved figure in her family and community, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on November 20, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, Yvonne dedicated a significant part of her life to serving her country and supporting others through her involvement in various organizations.

After a distinguished career in the Navy, Yvonne enjoyed her retirement, where she channeled her creativity into making crafts. 

As a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Yvonne actively participated in community service and built lasting friendships through her sorority's mission to elevate and support others.

Yvonne is survived by her two sons, Eric Hewitt and Jonathon Hewitt, along with her siblings: Duris Washington, Abisola Gallagher, and Leroy Gallagher. Her family will always cherish the memories they created together and remember Yvonne not only for her service but for her warmth, creativity, and loving nature.
